Christmas Eve we hosted our first ever open house. People came and went throughout the day and it was absolutely wonderful! There is something about having people in my home laughing and eating, just enjoying some time of fellowship. We had people from different areas of our life: family, friends and neighbors. Toward the end of the evening it seemed we were all gathered in our office around the table full of goodies and sweets.
The children decorated gingerbread houses. They were actually graham cracker houses that Mark has constructed. Way cheaper and the kids don't care.
As the evening came to a close the last family was going to go look at Christmas lights. There is a neighborhood here that does them every year where each street has a different theme. So, we loaded up the kids and went and looked at the lights. It was the perfect ending to our Christmas Eve.
